Membership in the Society of Boat and Yacht Designers is open to anyone interested in the technical and practical aspects of small craft design and construction.
Meetings are typically held on Saturdays, featuring tours of design or construction facilities in addition to lunch and speakers. Past meetings have included tours of production yacht builders, mega-yacht construction sites, workboat builders, shipyards, computer aided design & manufacturing facilities, test tank facilities, propeller foundries, and much more.
Meetings are currently held in the Pacific Northwest and Chesapeake Bay areas, and may be organized in other areas wherever sufficient interest exists.
